Social & Spiritual Development
We offer a variety of programs for children and teenagers throughout the year. The focus for them is fun but we emphasize social and spiritual development above everything else, exposing them to new friends and new experiences!
 
Camp Beechpoint
 
 
This is a week long adventure for students age 8 – 14 at camp in Allegan Michigan from July 30th to August 4th. Christian camp with activities including:
  • water sports
  • horseback riding
  • hiking
  • go carts
  • fishing
  • and much more…
Camp Beechpoint and all of the activities included costs $100 per student, only 10 spots left. Beechpoint provides a $200 scholarship for each camper! We want you to be a part of this spectacular experience! Get ready for some Summer fun!
 
Dream Camp
 
 
Targets elementary-age children, a four to five week summer day camp with activities including:
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Reading
  • Field Trips
  • Recreation
  • Devotion Time
  • Building Friendships…
Dream Camp and all of the activities included costs $25 per student. The program design has adult staff supported by select high school student mentors along with senior citizen volunteers from the St. Clair County Council on Aging. The highlight of camp includes an end of summer student performance and celebration.
 
Leadership Development & Next Steps
We know that it's important to consistently show love to the kids in our community. We have a variety of programs throughout the year where we have volunteers available to help guide the next generations.
Talented Tenth Program
 
 
SONS Outreach also helps develop student leadership in Port Huron.
High school student leadership development program that helps prepare students to succeed in their academic, relational and spiritual life. We have numerous professionals and speakers in the community that come and present to our students. Manhood I
 
 
Port Huron Middle School mentoring is another thing we do.
Group mentoring for middle school students. Building relationships with positive role models espousing the Manhood creed. A real man: Rejects passivity, Accepts responsibility, leads courageously and expects a greater reward.
 
Sister Circle
 
 
Group mentoring for middle school girls. Recreational and team building activities along with cooking, crafts and devotional studies.
 
Academic & Educational Enhancement
School and education in general are crucial in the development of our children. We have programs available to help enhance that experience and make the most of it.
Your Future Now
 
 
SONS Outreach also helps develop student leadership in Port Huron.
Your Future Now! is an umbrella program designed from student input. It Combines hands-on learning and exposure to trades along with mentorships and connection to our community partners! These programs are geared towards Highschool aged students (some college and middle school aged student may be approved case by case).
After School Program
 
 
SONS Outreach also helps develop student leadership in Port Huron.
SONS Outreach presents Train Up After School Program for 1st through 8th grade students. This program begins January 16th, 2024. Activities include meal/snack, character enrichment, recreational and creative arts activites, power hour (homework, tutoring, STEM), career exposure and field trips.



 
Youth Sports Programs
Team sports are a great way to learn discipline, have fun, and build relationships that will last a lifetime. We have a variety of sports programs that we would love to make you a part of!
Flag Football
League
 
 
Elementary and Middle school leagues for Port Huron area students. Competition, sportsmanship, devotions, and an end of year field trip to a Wayne State football game.
 
Cheerleading
Program
 
 
The cheer season will coincide with our Flag Football and Basketball seasons. Cheer Teams will have the opportunities to perform at other games, parades and more!.
 
SONS Elementary & Middle
School Basketball League
 
 
Clinics and games for students at Holland Woods middle school. Basketball instruction along with weekly devotions. Girls may participate as players or cheerleaders.
SONS Outreach is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to the academic excellence, social development, and spiritual growth of St. Clair County’s at-risk urban youth through volunteering, sporting clubs, and camps.
