  TENTH Leadership Development Program Policy  

Port Huron youth can count on SONS Outreach for spiritual growth no matter where in Port Huron they call home.
Policies
Attendance Standards
The Talented TENTH Leadership Development Program is an initiative directed towards individuals who demonstrate leadership potential. Requirements for the program demand a strict time commitment. With the honor and privilege of being a part of the program is the responsibility to be on time and to participate wholeheartedly. The orientation is mandatory, in an effort to develop cohesion of the group from the onset of the program. Participants are expected to attend all session to be considered for field trips, give-aways, or summer employment, if available. You are allowed up to four excused and three unexcused absences per semester.
Transportation
If a student does not drive, families are responsible for arranging transportation to the meeting location to arrive promptly at the starting time. At the end of the day families are asked to arrange on time pick-up.
AGREEMENT
Application
I certify that the information given in this application is complete and correct to the best of my knowledge. I also understand that acceptance to the program granted on the basis of incorrect information or an omission of fact which, if know, would have caused ineligibility, is invalid and could exclude me from consideration.
Commitment
In consideration of participation, the student entering this agreement agrees to the following: 1. The participant agrees they will at no time act in a manner that may damage the purpose of the program or that would adversely affect the goodwill and reputation of the program with the general public or with any Talented TENTH interns, staff or supporters. 2. The participant agrees that breaking this agreement could result in immediate expulsion from the program. 5 3. Thusly, the participant agrees to conduct him/herself in a manner reflective of integrity, honestly, fairness and good citizenship. 4. Thusly, the participant agrees to be present at all Talented TENTH activities for which he/she can, notwithstanding an unintended circumstance which legitimately excludes their participation. 5. Thusly, the parents or guardian agrees to support the progress of the participant by assisting him/her to meet the objectives set out in the program.
SONS Outreach is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to the academic excellence, social development, and spiritual growth of St. Clair County’s at-risk urban youth through volunteering, sporting clubs, and camps.
