Youth Basketball League

We’re excited to once again partner with the YMCA of the Blue Water Area to bring youth basketball to our community through the SONS Jr. NBA & Jr. WNBA Basketball League! This program gives kids the opportunity to learn the game, build skills, grow in teamwork, and have fun in a positive, encouraging environment. Whether your child is brand new to basketball or looking to sharpen their competitive edge, this program provides a positive, energetic, and inclusive environment for all players.

The league is open to boys and girls in 1st grade through 12th grade. Boys and girls play in separate divisions, and players are grouped by grade to help ensure a fun and fair experience for everyone.

Players should wear athletic clothes, basketball shoes, and bring a water bottle to every practice and game. Each team will practice one evening per week (Monday through Friday), with exact practice days and times determined by team coaches, and games will be held on Saturdays.

• Registration opens early November and closes around the end of December.
• Practices begin early January.
• Season kicks off in mid-January and wraps up around the middle of March.
